Stein Study has partnered with the award-winning ‘French in Normandy’ Language School in Rouen to offer Irish Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Year students a 2 week or 4-week online French Course taught by some of the best French Language Teachers in the world.
This course is made up of 15 hrs of French tuition per week from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm Monday to Friday. The lessons are offered online using Skype (a video conferencing tool) in small groups maximum 8 per class. You will work closely with your teacher and focus on the mechanics of the French language, listening, comprehension, grammar and vocab.
If we get 6 or more students on one date we can tailor the lessons for Leaving Cert as we can make a private group.

The course price is as follows:
Live Online – French Intensive Course
The course is from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm Monday to Friday and is conducted on Zoom (a video conferencing software)
Registration Fee – €120 (Course Registration and Course Materials including worksheets)
Two weeks – €300
NB – This course is not private, you are placed in a group for your level with up to 8 other students.
We also offer private lessons if you would prefer to learn alone or with your friends.

You will sign into the classes online via your laptop or computer. You will receive some course work before the course starts to review and you will take part in lessons and activities online
This course is suitable for all second-level students. This includes students who are in 4th, 5th and 6th years. Students will do an online test before they are assigned into a class group based on their language level.
This course is for 4 weeks but we also allow you to book for 2 weeks.
If you are interested in traveling to France in Summer 2020 please just let us know. As of right now the school expect to take students from July 2020.

The family I stayed with were very friendly and accommodating , the teachers were very relaxed and helpful, much more enjoyable than regular school, the trips were tiring but enjoyable and gave me the opportunity to further practice my french, I learned a lot!
I really enjoyed my stay in La Rochelle and I feel like I have a greater understanding of the language. The school helped me build vocabulary that enabled me to better understand what people were saying to me or understand menus, maps ect. I also think my reading of comprehensions has improved greatly. Overall, my experience was very good and I want to thank Stein Study and the School.
It was great to be able to learn French and be surrounded by real French people and experience what it would be like to get up every morning and travel to work or school. The teachers were always nice and I really enjoyed the excursion on the Weekends.
It was extremely good. The tours and activities were well organised, and they were very interesting. All the staff were excellent, very understanding easy to talk too and friendly. My host family were so great. They were always understanding and eager to help me improve my French. The experience over all was incredible and I notice an improvement in my French. I loved my time in La Rochelle so much that I came back for a second trip during the summer and stayed with the same host family again. Stein Study done an amazing job organising this trip for me. I thought the whole experience was first class. From the school to the activities to free time, I really enjoyed everything the school had to offer. I thought Tom was very kind and well prepared for everything. I really enjoyed it all and can’t say a bad thing about any of it. My host family also could not have been kinder and more welcoming towards me, the activities we did as well were very good. I particularly enjoyed the sailing. I would recommend this trip and will make sure my younger brother comes here.
I enjoyed learning French by playing games through French during school. I think that learning French this was has improved my vocal and the leaving cert prep classes did help me prepare for my exams next year.
