Stein Study are delighted to be offering this summer Spanish course in San Sebastian, in conjunction with Lacunza International House (IH) which has over 150 language schools in 52 countries, making it the largest and
oldest network of language schools in the world. Lacunza IH’s school in San Sebastian is located next to the city’s largest park, within a short walk to the city centre and the beach. The premises are specifically built for the language school and the local neighbourhood features a number of cafes and live music venues.
This junior summer course is ideal for students wanting to improve their Spanish whilst spending time in a sunny, vibrant European city. Students attend 25 Spanish lessons a week as well as a full programme of afternoon activities and a full-day excursion on a Saturday to nearby places of interest such as the Basque country. Classes have a maximum of 10 to 12 students which facilitates a close relationship between classmates as well as ensuring personalized teacher attention. Student have at least two teachers per day and will work on grammar for everyday use, pronunciation, listening exercises, reading and writing. Class activities are done individually, in pairs or in groups and are taught 100% in Spanish.
To enhance language learning further, students stay with a local host family which provides a great opportunity for students to practice their Spanish in a real-life setting. There are also many additional activities students can choose to participate in such as surfing, kayaking, yoga and Latin dancing.

Accommodation
Students are placed in host families specially selected for teenagers, most of who have been working with Lacunza IH for years. All families are required to sign a contract ensuring the language school’s accommodation standards are met and must provide a police background check. All housing is located in safe, residential areas and is within walking distance to the school or has easy access by bus. Students can have their own individual room or share with a friend and most include WiFi.
Breakfast and dinner are with the family and students take a packed lunch to school.
Curfew
The curfew is set up by the school and as a parent, you can reduce it, but you are not allowed to extend it.
➢ Student’s who are 14 years old by the time of the course will not be allowed to leave the house after dinner except chaperoned by the host family parents.
➢ Students who are already 15 years old by the time of the course will follow the 14 years old curfew, but they will be allowed to go out after dinner on Saturday until 23:00.
➢ Student’s who are turning 16 this year will be subject to 16-17 years old curfew.
➢ 16-17 years old students: can go out after dinner but should return home by 11 pm Monday to Thursday & Sunday and at 1 am Friday and Saturday.
➢ When 2 students with different ages are attending the course together, the curfew for each age will be applied.

Overall, I really enjoyed my time here. The classes were very good, and I felt like my French improved because of them. All if the teachers were nice and made a real effort. Our host family couldn’t have been nicer! They really made us feel as comfortable as they could. The food was mostly good. The group leaders were so kind. All three of them made such an effort and it didn’t go unnoticed. They really tried to make the actives as fun as they could for us. The tour around the town was good and allowed us to get our bearings which was very useful. The restaurants ect were lovely and we enjoyed going in the evenings.

I had a Fantastic experience with Inlingua, I felt the classes were extremely beneficial and the activities we did with Yann and my host family couldn’t have been more accommodating. All the teachers in the school were extremely helpful and did everything they could to ensure I got the most I could have from this trip. If there was one small thing I would change would be maybe to have a longer morning class until maybe 1.30 then not have an afternoon class as in the sunny days, I really wanted to be outside. I really enjoyed my trip and would recommend this to a friend.
