If you are looking to improve your Spanish ahead of your LC, then study abroad over the summer in Spain with our LC Prep Course in Cadiz! The course is specially designed for Irish students preparing for their LC.
As well as 20 lessons per week of Spanish classes, you will also receive 10 lessons per week of tailored LC classes that focus solely on the Irish LC syllabus in order to leave you feeling confident enough to sit your upcoming oral and written exams.
Cadiz is known for its beautiful stretch of beaches, surf and great weather. It is a safe and student-friendly town with thriving marketplaces, vibrant plazas, pretty whitewashed buildings and narrow cobbled streets. Our partner school – Clic International House in Cadiz has created this great intensive course that will improve your Spanish in a short period of time whilst giving you a fantastic holiday abroad. The language school provides a great mix of group study, private tutoring, cultural workshops, activities and tours.
During your stay, you can surf, partake in a range of other sports, visit local museums and enjoy weekly excursions to other nearby Spanish resorts and tourist attractions.

Students stay with local Home Stay Families located a maximum of 25 mins walk to the Clic language school. Stein Study work closely with our partner language schools to ensure that Home Stay Accommodation is carefully chosen and vetted. The language schools we work with fully understand the concerns of parents and the needs of students to ensure a safe and comfortable stay.
Staying in Home Stay Accommodation is a fantastic way to fully embrace the local culture, language and way of life. During this immersive experience, you’ll speak Spanish on a daily basis with your friendly Home Stay Family in a laid-back family environment.
Single and twin rooms are available with breakfast, packed lunch and dinner included.
Students can share a host with friends but this is not recommended as we find students will mix more with their family if not with a friend. If you want to share, we can also place you with another student that is studying at the language school.
There is a curfew of 11.30pm Sunday to Thursday and 12.30am Friday and Saturday.

Students will stay in Home Stay Accommodation with a well vetted and carefully chosen local family close to the language school
We advise that you fly into Malaga airport.
Students can opt to share a host family with a friend or can be placed with another student if they have travelled alone. Staying with a student who you didn’t know before your trip is a great way to widen your circle of friends while getting the chance to practice your language skills with new people. The school will accommodate all requests as best they can.
You can opt to take the course for a minimum of 2 weeks up to 16 weeks
Yes, curfews are strict in accordance with local laws and host families monitor all curfews. All minors (u18) have a curfew and breaking curfew can result in students being expelled from the course and sent home. There is a curfew of 11.30pm for Sunday to Thursday and 12.30am for Friday and Saturday.
All meals are included in the price. You will however need money for socialising and shopping during your time away.
No flights are not included in the price. You will need to arrange your own flights, although we are happy to advise which flight to book.
You will be placed with a host family within walking distance or easy bus route distance from the language school

I had a wonderful time, my host family were perfect. The college staff were very helpful and made it very easy to settle in. I enjoyed the fact that there were people from all nationalities. I would love to go again and would recommend it highly.
I really enjoyed my time here and I would love to come back I really liked my classes in the morning with Lea. I feel like my French has definitely improved.
My daughter travelled with Stein Study to Cadiz for 2 weeks last June and had a very positive experience. Nikki from Stein Study was super to deal with. She answered all my queries and was very efficient. The accommodation was close to the school and the family were very friendly. The girls ate out most nights so I would budget that in. The school was well run and any issues we had were dealt with immediately. My daughter felt her conversational Spainish improved while there. I would definitely recommend the trip but would suggest staying longer if you really want to improve you skills.
My experience with my language experience was overall really enjoyable. My host family was so nice and gave us really nice accommodation of such high standard. They made me feel so welcome. The food was also delicious. I also really enjoyed my classes in school because I really did learn so much. The activities were really well organised and I had a lot of fun taking part in them. During my stay I made so many new friends and really had such a good time.
I spent a month in La Rochelle with a wonderful host lady. La Rochelle is a fantastic location as not only is it beautiful but it is a very accessible city. It was a wonderful experience and I wish I'd been brave enough to book for longer.
My Language experience was great. I enjoyed participating in class and the activities outside the class. I had great fun with Tony and Melaine during every activity. I feel I have improved greatly in terms of my French during the classes and also had of fun doing it. One of my favourite activities was sailing. Really enjoyed being with my host and learned some French with her as well. Overall, I had a great time in La Rochelle and really enjoyed my stay and have improved my French.
