Introducing InLingua, La Rochelle…
Our courses in La Rochelle are run by the well-known language school – InLingua. This impressive language school has developed an original method of teaching based on natural oral learning techniques that allow students to understand and speak the language much quicker than with other teaching methods.
Lessons are taught in small groups by native speaking, qualified teachers who work with and understand the positive dynamics of each group.
The school also understands the need for students to have fun and relax during their study abroad trip so all our courses include afternoon and evening activities, full day excursions at weekends and even the opportunity to try sailing. The school is located in a central location, close to the harbour and beaches so the students can enjoy exploring the city in their spare time.

During their time studying at InLingua, Stein Study students stay with carefully chosen host families located within 20 mins walk from the school. The school understands the importance of students practicing their language skills throughout their stay which is why host family accommodation is recommended,
The courses
We offer 4 courses at InLingua, La Rochelle including a brand new course – Transition Year French and Rugby.
This exciting new course is for rugby players who want to improve their French language skills as well as play rugby during their trip. The course combines morning French classes with rugby training and workshops in the afternoon. At the end of the course student’s get the opportunity to attend a pre-match training session with a top 14 French Rugby Team!
This programme can be taken for 6 weeks up to one whole academic year. Students start with a 2-week intensive French language course at the language school and then get placed in a local secondary school for the remainder of the programme and attend mainstream lessons and activities with local French students. It is a great way to fully experience life inFrance and become immersed in the language and culture.
This is a short term intensive course for students with limited time to study abroad. Students will improve their French quickly with 30 lessons a week and still time to socialise and have fun in their spare time.
This is another short term intensive course with a particular focus on LC exams preparation. As well as 20 French classes per week, students will receive 10 LC prep classes specifically tailored for Irish LC prep students.
The school was easy to get to and she was very impressed with the lessons and all the teachers. She was kept busy so very little time to experience homesickness. All in all, it was a wonderful experience for her and she was only sorry she hadn’t been brave enough to book for longer.
