Lindenberg: A great destination to improve your German

Head to Lindenberg during your Transition Year to study German in Germany at a top language school. Lindenberg is a small pretty town in Bavaria, Germany – located in the foothills of the Alps and within close proximity to Austria and Switzerland. An impressive school

Stein Study’s study abroad programmes in Lindenberg are run at The Humboldt-Institut which offers German courses for all ages. Its beautiful campus in Lindenberg houses up to 200 students and is open all year round. Students can opt to stay on campus in dorms, or with a local host family. The school has a family atmosphere and community spirit making it easy for students to settle in and thrive in their studies.

Recreational opportunities

The school has impressive recreational facilities: a sports court and gymnasium, outdoor playing fields and lawns, a climbing wall, a miniature golf course, a sauna and an indoor swimming pool. Students can use the school’s mountain bikes for long rides through the magnificent surroundings. Or if you prefer less sporty activities, there are arts and crafts rooms and workshops, a games room for table football, ping pong and pool, a movie room, a party room and an auditorium.

Activity programme

The school runs a busy activity programme to help students thrive and be sociable. Activities are run in the afternoon and evening after class and excursions take place each Saturday. The fully supervised excursions are a great way for students to see and learn about the local area and include trips to Stuttgart, Munich and Lake Constance. In the winter, students will get the opportunity to go skiing in the nearby mountains

Leaving Cert Prep Course

This intensive study abroad course will fully prepare you for your written and oral German LC exams. It has been especially formulated for Irish students wanting to improve their German skills in a short amount of time. The course includes 30 intensive German classes per week and 4 private lessons all fully focused on the LC syllabus.

Intensive German Course

This is another intensive course for students wanting to improve their German in a short amount of time. You will be in a small class with other international students and is ideal for TY students wanting to study and mix with a range of students from around the world. There are 30 lessons a week and you will see your German language skills improve dramatically.
