The best short courses in France

A short intensive language course in France is a great way to improve your French language skills in a limited amount of time. Perhaps you have a busy Transition Year planned already but want to include a study abroad experience into your packed schedule. Stein Study’s TY Intensive Courses are designed to fast-track the French language learning process (in 2 to 4 weeks) and to provide an unforgettable ‘French experience’ for Irish students wanting to sample France’s rich culture and beautiful scenery during their transition year.

Stein Study offers two study abroad course options for Irish students wanting to study French in France during their transition year. Choose from two great destinations – La Rochelle or Rouen.

  • TY Intensive Course in La Rochelle

La Rochelle is a magnificent coastal port town situated on the west coast of France. It is a very student-friendly town with innovative public transport, plenty of green spaces as well as the beach. We have partnered with a leading French language school – inLingua, with its campus located moments away from the beach and the town centre. The course includes 30 language lessons per week in small focused classes of about 10 students. Students can stay on campus or with a local host family and there is plenty of free time for students to enjoy exploring the town with friends as well as weekly excursions to surrounding areas of interest. Click here for more information.

  • Leaving Certificate Prep Course in Rouen

Rouen is the capital city of Normandy and is famous for its art, fashion, cinema, food and culture. Ideally located just 1 hour by train from Paris and close to the famous beaches of Normandy, it is a great city for Irish students wanting to experience the real France. The course is run by the award-winning French Language School – French in Normandy. The LC Prep course includes 25 lessons per week ( 15 hours of general French lessons and 10 hours of lessons concentrating on LC prep). During the LC prep classes, Irish students practice past LC papers and also concentrate on oral comprehension. Students stay with local host families and can enjoy plenty of free time and weekly excursions to places of interest. Click here for more information.

Don’t miss out on an unforgettable French language experience during your Transition Year. Remember you can book to go with a friend or by yourself – either way, you are sure to meet plenty of new friends during this unforgettable study abroad experience in France. We are taking bookings now for 2019!
