There’s plenty of fun to have on a Stein Study course in Germany!
Attending a study abroad course is not just about studying. There is always plenty of spare time too for students to enjoy fun activities such as sports, social events and excursions to nearby tourist attractions. This downtime actually helps with a child’s language learning and complements what is taught in the classroom. Students are encouraged to converse with each other, in and out of the classroom, in the foreign language that they are learning. All social interactions during their spare time, therefore, provides a great way for students to practice and perfect their language skills.
Study abroad courses are a great way to make new lifetime friends from different countries. On all our courses, students spend mornings in the classroom and in the afternoons, there are organised activities and excursions.
Here’s a look at the activities our students can enjoy during a study abroad course in Germany at our partner school, The Humboldt Institute in Bad Schussenried or Lindenberg.
Sports
Both campuses have an impressive sports hall where students can enjoy playing basketball, indoor tennis and a range of other organised sports. There is an indoor swimming pool as well as a mini-golf course. Outside, students can make use of the grounds; playing soccer, riding bikes and even swimming in the lake.
Other activities
If sport isn’t your thing, then don’t despair as there are plenty of other organised activities on offer including arts and crafts and musical activities. In the evenings, the school arranges social get-togethers for students such as discos and barbeques.
Excursions
Each week students are taken on an excursion to see nearby places of interest such as the cities of Munich and Stuttgart, local castles, Lake Constance, Lindau, Island of Mainau, and even the Alps (from Lindenberg).
Winter sports
A range of winter sports including snowboarding and skiing is available on our study abroad courses in Lindenberg. This can be booked and paid for as an additional cost or opt for our exclusive German and Ski course which includes daily skiing sessions following mornings of German classes.
